Youngwoo Cho, PharmD, MTM, is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago specializing in pharmacogenomics and personalized oncology. His research focuses on pharmacogenomics-guided cancer pain management and the development of patient-centered decision tools.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he completed mandatory military service in Korea’s special operations forces, specializing in psychological warfare. He later trained in translational medicine at UC San Francisco before joining UChicago.
Outside of research, Dr. Cho enjoys solo backpacking, soccer, boxing, and Latin dancing—particularly bachata.
