Stephani Stancil, PhD, APRN is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and University of Kansas Schools of Medicine. She is also a practicing clinician in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine and the GOLDILOKS Precision Therapeutics inpatient consult service at Children’s Mercy. She was clinically trained as a family nurse practitioner at the University of Kansas, received a PhD in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and completed a NICHD T32 post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology at Children's Mercy Kansas City. Her interdisciplinary, translational research focuses on developing precision therapeutics for adolescent mental health conditions by understanding variability in exposure and response. Her other research interests include improving reproductive health care in teens and harm reduction for youth. Dr. Stancil serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, is an Editorial Board member for Clinical and Translational Science, and the associate program director for the T32 Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship at Children’s Mercy.
