Dr. Nancy Gillis is an Assistant Member in the Departments of Cancer Epidemiology and Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center. She has a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences, precision medicine, and molecular epidemiology. Her research primarily focuses on premalignant hematologic conditions, including clonal hematopoiesis (CHIP), and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).
Dr. Gillis is the principal investigator of two R01-funded studies investigating CHIP in patients with cancer and serves as a multiple principal investigator (MPI) on the NHLBI/NCI-funded National MDS Natural History Study. Her impactful contributions have been published in leading journals such as Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO), and Nature Genetics.
