Dr. Ashley Springer, PharmD, MSPGx, RPh is a second year T32 postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology Fellow at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. Ashley received her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master’s in Pharmacogenomics from Manchester University in 2023. During her doctoral training, she was involved in laboratory-based research to determine the CYP inhibitory effects of metabolites of psychoactive recreational drugs. As a postdoctoral fellow, she has led clinical and translational research projects, including investigation of pharmacogenomic utilization at Indiana University Health, characterization of rare CYP3A4 variants identified in patients with tyrosine kinase inhibitor-induced toxicities, and pharmacometrics modeling of candidate Alzheimer’s therapies in mice. Upon completing her fellowship, Ashley plans to work as a clinical pharmacologist supporting clinical trials in the pharmaceutical industry.
