PhD Student
Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, Germany
Anne Kasten is a PhD student at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Kiel, Germany. She studied Pharmacy at Kiel University (2015 - 2021) and earned an additional Master’s degree in Drug Research and Technology (2021).
At the end of 2021, she started her doctoral studies at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, focusing on the efflux transporters ABCB1 (P-glycoprotein, P-gp) and ABCG2 (breast cancer resistance protein, BCRP). Her research experience includes a broad range of methods such as CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, bidirectional transport studies, cell viability assays, and molecular biological techniques (e.g., cloning, site-directed mutagenesis). In addition to her research interests, she actively contributes to the academic training of pharmacy and medical students.
