Dr. Tatiana Iakovleva, PharmD, MS is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutics.
Dr. Iakovleva received her PharmD from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and a Master’s in Financial Engineering from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, during which she earned the Lubimov L.L. stipend as an one semester exchange student at the University of Turin.
With over 10 years of experience collaborating with global pharmaceutical companies, Dr. Iakovleva specializes in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) modeling and has contributed to more than 20 research projects. Her work has earned publication awards, including Wiley’s Top Cited Article (2020–2021) and Top Downloaded Paper (2018–2019). She joined the University of Florida as a Postdoctoral Associate in 2022 and was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2024.
An active member of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP), and the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP), Dr. Iakovleva is deeply committed to education. She holds certifications in Great Online Teaching, Principles of Inclusive Teaching, and CIRTL Associate from UF’s Center for Teaching Excellence.
Her research focuses on applying mathematical modeling to areas where direct measurement is challenging and mathematical modeling is especially beneficial, like nephrology, respiratory diseases, and neuroscience. With a focus on mechanistic modeling and disease progression, she aims to advance understanding of disease mechanisms and drive innovative treatment strategies, contributing to the future of healthcare.
