I am a third-year Infectious Diseases fellow at the University of Chicago, focusing on infections in transplant recipients and immunocompromised hosts. In addition, I am also a second-year fellow in the Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics program at the University of Chicago. My research focuses on studying how the intestinal microbiome is impacted in patients receiving broad-spectrum antibiotics, with the goal of characterizing dynamics of microbiome repopulation after periods of dysbiosis. I further hope to use metabolomics to find potential biomarkers of dysbiosis in hopes of identifying patients who would benefit from probiotics and similar microbiome-reconstitution therapies.
