Dr. Roaya S. Alqurashi, PharmD, PhD, is an assistant professor and head of the Pharmacology & Toxicology Department, College of Pharmacy, Umm Al-Qura University, and consultant Pharmacist at the Maternity & Children’s Hospital in Makkah, KSA. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics from Tufts University, USA, and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University, USA, and King Abdulaziz University, KSA. Dr. Alqurashi's research focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying epileptogenesis and developing targeted therapeutic strategies, with resulting intellectual property and ongoing patent prosecution with Tufts University. Her research interests also include breast cancer and tumor immunology, with US patent applications filed.
