Emily Miller is a PharmD-PhD student at VCU School of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science who completed the PharmD portion of her degree in May 2022. She is currently in her fourth year of the PhD portion of her degree. Emily's research interests include understanding the mechanisms behind HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorders (HAND), exploring the interactions between HIV, opioid use, and opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment on neurocognitive and neuroinflammatory outcomes, and evaluating OUD treatment utilization and access. She has enjoyed being a Student/Trainee member of ASCPT since 2020 and is currently a Co-Vice Chair of the Student/Trainee Steering Committee. Emily looks forward to continuing her academic and professional growth within ASCPT.
