Sheena Sharma is a Senior Research Investigator in the Clinical Pharmacology Oncology team at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). In her previous role within the PBPK & QSP group at BMS, she gained nearly two years of experience applying mechanistic modeling to support both preclinical and clinical drug development, as well as to address regulatory inquiries. Sheena is passionate about advancing therapeutic development through model-informed drug development (MIDD), combining her expertise in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
She holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Molecular Medicine from Washington State University in Spokane, WA. Prior to this, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) and a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in India. She has published over 10 research articles and presented work in various scientific conferences. Her contributions have been recognized with the prestigious Association for Faculty Women’s Outstanding Graduate Student Award. She has been a cohort member of the ASCPT Leadership Accelerator Program and is a steering committee member of the ACCP Early Stage Professionals Committee. Outside of work, Sheena enjoys exploring nature and experimenting in the kitchen.
