Sulafa Al Sahlawi is a third-year PhD student at the University of Florida. She is a pharmacist by training, holding a PharmD from King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, and an MSc in Experimental Pharmacology and Therapeutics from University College London (UCL), UK. She is currently working under Dr. Rodrigo Cristofoletti at the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on applying Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling and simulation to predict drug exposure and assess risks in special populations. In summer 2024, Sulafa completed a three-month internship at Merck’s Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics (QP2) department.
