Ahmed Nader is a Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacology in CPMS (Precision Medicine). Ahmed holds a PhD and MSc in Clinical Pharmacology from Purdue University; and prior to joining GSK, spent seven years at AbbVie working on projects within the Immunology and Specialty Medicine therapeutic areas.
Ahmed currently leads a team of clinical pharmacology scientists supporting several high-profile projects across multiple disease areas. Ahmed's leadership in Clinical Pharmacology has consistently positioned CPMS and Precision Medicine at the core of decision-making processes, with strong advocacy for MIDD and QSP approaches. His contributions have been widely recognized, earning him multiple company awards over the past several years.
In his role, Ahmed fosters close collaborations with companion functions within the PMed organization, the RUs, the EDL/MDL organization, clinical sciences, and other quantitative disciplines including Biostats, AIML, Comp Bio, Data Analytics, and Decision Sciences. In addition, Ahmed is actively involved in several initiatives aimed at revolutionizing drug development at GSK, including hyper-acceleration workstreams and data-enabled disruptive development.
Ahmed operates with a vision centered on the convergence of disease biology, pharmacology, and quantitative precision medicine to design and execute efficient drug development programs. He aspires to maximize the use of quantitative data sciences and model-based, meta-analytical approaches, leveraging data from all possible sources to address key questions and create innovative and efficient development programs anchored at the intersection of science and technology.
