Dr. Aarti Sawant, Ph.D., is currently a Group Director in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics at AstraZeneca, supporting oncology programs from early clinical development through approvals. In addition, she holds an adjunct faculty position at the University of Arizona, R.K. Coit College of Pharmacy. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Aarti worked as a clinical pharmacologist in early clinical development and in pharmacokinetics, dynamics, and metabolism department of Pfizer. In her industry experience she has supported projects across oncology, inflammation, cardiometabolic, and neuroscience therapeutic areas. Prior to joining Pfizer Aarti completed her Ph.D, from University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Pharmacy. She has been a member of ASCPT since 2016 and has been serving as a committe member on the drug utilization and regulatory outcomes interest group and on the ASCPT mentorship panel.
