Dr. Ahmed Othman is the Vice President and Head of Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, DMPK and Bioanalysis at Exelixis, Inc. Prior to joining Exelixis, Dr. Othman led clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics teams that supported Gilead’s oncology and inflammation portfolios and before that Abbott/AbbVie's neuroscience and immunology portfolios.
Dr. Othman received his bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University and his doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore. He has authored 109 scientific research articles and 128 peer-reviewed abstracts and is a co-inventor of 25 granted patents. Dr. Othman is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP) and serves on the editorial board of Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics. Throughout his career, Dr. Othman trained and mentored many clinical pharmacologists and pharmacometricians.
