Pharmacogenetics Clinical Pharmacist
Sanford Imagenetics
Kristen Jacobsen is a clinical pharmacogenetics pharmacist at Sanford Imagenetics. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from South Dakota State University and completed her PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at Sanford Health. Following residency, she served as an inpatient clinical pharmacist at Sanford Health with a focus on orthopedics, nephrology, and cardiology. In 2020, she joined Imagenetics where she played a large role in the implementation of the PGx clinic which opened in the spring of 2022. She serves as primary clinical preceptor for the PGY2 pharmacogenomics residency program. In clinical practice she provides pharmacogenomic consultations and cares for patients via in-person and virtual PGx clinic visits. Her research interests include pharmacogenomics outcomes with a current focus on PGx clinic implementation and patient/provider satisfaction with return of pharmacogenomic results. She is passionate about patient safety and pharmacogenomics education and implementation.
