Olanrewaju (Lanre) Okusanya, Pharm.D, MS, is the Deputy Director for the Division of Cancer Pharmacology I in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology at the U.S Food and Drug Administration. Olanrewaju received his Pharm.D. from Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Houston, TX and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Following the completion of a Pfizer/University of Buffalo Drug Development Fellowship and a Masters degree in Pharmacometrics, he worked at the Institute for Clinical Pharmacodynamics, in Albany, NY, leveraging pre-clinical and early phase data for dose selection and dosing regimen optimization as well as providing translational and investigational PKPD guidance for the development of novel therapeutics. Upon joining the FDA, he has worked extensively with hematology products including biosimilars, dealing with regulatory issues that arise with small molecules and biologics from a clinical pharmacology perspective.
